Join Vine Street alum Maria and her dad, Emilio Castelli, for a tasting of his delicious, Barolo-inspired wines. Emilio Castelli moved to Sonoma County from his native home of Lake Como in 1995 and planted Nebbiolo soon there after. Emilio bottles estate Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir from a neighboring vineyard. He's passionate about intervening as little as possible in the vineyard and the cellar alike. Taking a cue from Masanobu Fukuoka, Emilio doesn't till his vineyards and let's vines do as they will. He walks these vines daily so is always able to treat potential issues holistically before they spread without having to rely on chemicals or other sprays. Maria, former manager here at Vine Street, grew up amongst these vines and it's no wonder she ended up working in wine. Join us to taste through our favorite "California Barolo."
