On Friday July 24th we're hosting our new art opening, featuring the art of Santra Cruz based illustrator, painter, muralist & designer Wyatt Hersey! Wyatt's work explores narratives of relational ecology and ecological consciousness while instilling a sense of playfulness, mutualism, and vitality in the viewer.
We're also excited to have winemaker Chad Hinds from Iruai Winery in the shop for a tasting of some of his beautiful wines. Iruai (the artist formerly known as Methode Sauvage) was started in 2013 by Chad and Michelle Westbrook Hinds in Berkeley as a nomadic natural wine project, before laying down roots in Michelle’s beautiful hometown of Etna, CA in the mythical Shasta-Cascade mountains of Siskiyou County in 2019. These are natural, high elevation, alpine wines that are some of the most singular and unique wines being made in California.
Chad will also be at the the Unfiltered Wine Festival, happening in Berkeley at Donkey & Goat winery on July 25 & 26. For more information on the festival, check the following link!
