Description
Younger brother of the talented Loire winemaker Jo Pithon, Olivier studied in Bordeaux and Beaujolais before starting his own winery in the hills of Roussillon. Organic and biodynamically farmed muscat grapes are macerated on the skins, fermented with native yeast and the resulting wine is aged for two years in neutral French oak barrels. This orange wine has notes of orange zest, pomelo, elderflower, minerals, some pithy bitterness, dried apricots, a little thyme and wet rock. Very food friendly - excellent with cheese, vegetarian dishes, Korean, Thai or Indian curries.
