Les Athletes du Vin is a project conceived by a group of French winemakers called “Vini Be Good” in the Loire. The labels for the wines are drawings by French artist, illustrator, and cartoonist Michel Tolmer—unofficial artist of the French natural wine movement since the ’90s. This is natural wine, yes, but it's fresh and mineral-driven, not funky. It is pure Loire Chenin: organically farmed, with great balance and beautifully crisp movement. Flavors of white fruits and some lovely citrus notes. Perfect with shellfish, grilled fish, or spicy food.
