"No Es Pituko" is Chilean slang for "It ain't fancy," a way of stating that a) the wine's naturally made and b) that one can enjoy its stone-cold, freakalicious delights while wearing short shorts. All that said? This wine could sport a tuxedo, walk into Quince, and no one would bat a carefully groomed eyelash. This is Carignan on its lighter, fresher side, but still insanely well balanced: notes of brambly fruit and a delicate hint of spice (star anise?!). A sub-$20 bottle that is organically farmed (with no added sulfites, too)? That's this delicious? Dunno about you, but I'm feelin' fancy and fancy-free all at once.
