Description
Presqu’ile's 2020 Pinot seems a quintessentially Californian Pinot and a French-tuned beguiler, all at once: South African winemaker Dieter Cronje has experience with the cool climate wines of both his homeland and France (he trained at Domaine Dujac!)... and he crafts his Pinots in the Burgundian fashion you might expect: notes of tea leaf, porcini mushrooms, and dried roses all help to balance the Californian sunshine. But this ain't no "Where's The Fruit?" situation, either: think tart boysenberries, Bing cherries, and a lively pop of pomegranate. A crazy great wine for the dough!
