Gojer's estate, Glögglhof, is right in the middle of the St. Magdalena hill, a perfect amphitheater just North-East of the city of Bolzano. St. Magdalener is this small area's trademark blend: mostly Schiava (the region's chief variety) with just a kiss of Lagrein (another indigenous grape of the region). The 'Vigna Rondell' comes from a 65 year old parcel designated as their 'Grand Cru' site. Bursting with elegant fruit (think wild strawberry and pomegranate), accented by charred alpine herbs and tea-like tannins, this needs a spot on your holiday table.
