Description
In the future I’ll be proud of this one. Articles will be written with titles like “THE MOMENT WHEN CALIFORNIA CABERNET CHANGED” and “REMEMBER WHEN NAPA CAB WAS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SONOMA COAST CAB? and “JOHN LOCKWOOD: MORTAL OR NOT?” This is deep Pinot country we’re in here, only five miles from the Sonoma Coast, but goddamn does it convince: mixed loam and volcanic soils, this is elegant stuff, with floral, delicate aromatics and a lively, dense black-fruited palated with great pepper on the back. Fantastic stuff.
