Description
The OG orange wine. DoReMi was founded by two friends, Giorgi Tsirghvava and Mamuka Tsiklauri in Kaheti, Georgia. This blend of native organic grapes, 70% Rkatsiteli and 30% Mtsvane, are fermented in qvevri, a large egg-shaped vessel that is buried underground. The wine is allowed to ferment naturally with 6 months of skin contact - a method used in George for over 8,000 years. On the nose, dried fruit, dried tea leaves and fenugreek, with flavors of apricot, earth and wet stones with light/medium tannins, Pairs beautifully with chicken kaarage (ok, any fried foods really), spicy Sichuan, roasted pork or lamb and walnut dishes.
