The Spinola family have made wine in Tassarolo, in the heart of Gavi, since the 14th century. Orsola—the cousin of current winemaker Massimiliana Spinola—was an avid art collector and lived in New York during the Warhol era. She was lucky enough to have her portrait painted by him, a version of which adorns the label of this wine. Elegant and alluring, this naturally fermented Cortese is fresh, light, lively, and fragrant. It reminds us why we love Cortese: full of orange blossom, chamomile, beeswax, and dried honey.
