Description

A good rule of thumb when you're on the hunt for a new white to add to the rotation: the more difficult the pronunciation, the more unexpected the diacritical mark, the most delicious the wine (that's just science, folks!). And when said phonetically challenging wine is from Eric Danch, our fav East Bay purveyor of all things Eastern & Central European, that's when you know you found the good stuff. From old vines in an appellation system established 100 years before Bordeaux, János Hajduz and Krisztián Farkas make the best of their volcanic soils and some degree of botrytis. Apple custard, hazelnut, nutmeg, persistent flinty minerality - hard(ish) to pronounce, impossible to resist.
