Description
Originally from Mahlabathini, a rural village in KwaZulu-Natal, Ntsiki Biyela is part of South Africa's shift to small production, terroir expressive wines that capture the dramatic landscape of the Western Cape. Her Cab is sourced from the rugged mountains outside of Stellenbosch, where warm afternoons and cool coastal winds coax dark, brooding fruit with firm structure and refreshing acidity. Blackberry, cassis, and plum dominate the palate, with cedar, tobacco, and licorice providing subtle accents. Rich, lushly textured, and a screaming value at $36.
