Description
Michael Cruse is one of the SF Chronicle’s former Winemakers of the Year, and this is his flagship red wine! Organically farmed (& nearly equal parts) Valdiguié, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Carignan, with a touch of Tannat and Pinot Noir, this is as great a snapshot of Californian winemaking at the century’s quarter mark as you can find: insanely drinkable; worthy of reflection but not meant to be consumed with pretension; and utterly sui generis. Bright; juicy; lifted; savory. If there was a California Cru Beaujolais, this might be it.
