The landscape of Santorini is breathtakingly Instagrammable. Beautiful traditional white buildings with cobalt blue domes are scattered around this tiny scrubby island, a mix of pumice, basalt, obsidian rocks floating in the crystalline Aegean Sea. Viticulture here dates to before the Minoan eruption, back in 1613 BCE. A handful of wineries are active today on the island, Karamolegos is one of the most dynamic. Their 2022 '34' is a blend from their younger vine sites (young by their standards means a mere 75 years old), and is as dynamic as white wine gets.
