For those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting him, Paul Duroussay is a gregarious Frenchmen who we have the pleasure of buying wine from & nerding out on all-things-wine with. Paul grew up in Pierreclos, a small commune in Burgundy just 8 miles west of Mâcon, where his parents make beautiful wines under their label Coteaux des Margots. Taking after his family, Paul studied winemaking in France before embarking on a series of internships, one which brought him to the Bay Area, where he met Alejandro Brambila while working at Jeff Cohn Cellars and partnered to establish Pierreclos Imports.
Paul imports an impressive portfolio of small-production French wines but for this tasting, we wanted to zoom in on the wines made by Paul himself and his family. Paul lives in the Bay but travels home to France each summer to help his family out during harvest. While there, he also collaborates with a Jura-based friend, Leo, to bottle some delicious & affordable Jura wines.
Join us to meet Paul and learn a ton about Pierreclos, Burgundy & the Jura. We'll be pouring an exciting line-up of lesser-known varietals that beautifully showcase the regions.
