The Willamette Valley has become one of the most important and dynamic wine regions in the United States, known for its cool-climate precision and a patchwork of soils that yield wines with both energy and depth. Stretching through Oregon’s coastal foothills, the valley has built its reputation on Pinot Noir (and now Chardonnay), but its diversity of microclimates and committed growers have made it a cradle for vibrant whites, soulful reds, and experimental blends.
We’ve put together a lineup that shows off the valley’s range, and Gregoire Montot will be pouring with a French spin on these Oregon wines. We’ll kick off with Liska, a tiny new producer that highlights the region’s freshness through a field blend of Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Gewürztraminer, and Sauvignon Blanc, plus a lifted Gamay from the Eola-Amity Hills. Twill Cellars brings both a textured Chardonnay and a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from volcanic soils, striking a balance of precision and elegance. Grape Ink stretches the imagination with a co-ferment of Pinot Noir, Trousseau, and Mondeuse, channeling northern Willamette’s rustic charm. Together, these wines capture the valley’s magic: purity, terroir expression, and a sense of discovery that makes Willamette one of the most exciting wine regions in the world.
