Taste all 3
ROSÉ - Rosé wine, brandy, strawberry, mint and rose hip
BLANC - White wine, brandy, tangerine and elderflower
ROUGE - Red wine, brandy, orange, cardamom and gentian root
Then, pick your favorite and Jennifer or Jeanne-Marie will make you an expertly crafted spritz cocktail to enjoy!
A little background: This project came together when two friends (now cofounders) Jennifer and Jean-Marie were taking a ride down Highway 1. They were inspired by the beauty of the California coast and embarked on a project that combined their loves of travel, drink and design. They wanted to create a modern style apéretif with a distinctly Californian flare. Shortly after this revelation Rue de Rêve (“Dream Street” in French) was created. Maybe coincidentally, maybe not, their apéretifs contain artemisia douglasiana, aka “the California Dream Plant.” It’s actually the base of all of these. This is bolstered by organic wine from Kivelstadt in Sonoma and organic brandy from Griffo Distillery in Petaluma. When we first tasted these, we were pleasantly blown away by the complexity but subtleness of the soft herbs in each distinct iteration. These are great by themselves on the rocks and work even better if you add a splash of spritz!
