Our deep dive into the heart of Burgundy continues with Night Six of our tasting series—guided, of course, by Siavash, who’ll be pouring another standout lineup that captures the nuance, depth, and quiet power of the region. From the sun-kissed limestone of the Mâconnais to the storied Premier Crus of Beaune and Ladoix, this flight showcases producers working with grace, intention, and an uncompromising sense of place.
We’ll begin in southern Burgundy with two distinct takes on Chardonnay: the vibrant and layered 2022 Maison de Montille Pouilly-Fuissé, followed by the older and rarer 2017 Domaine Thibert Pouilly-Loché ‘En Chantone’—a wine of serious texture and depth.
Then we move north into red Burgundy territory, starting with the structured and mineral 2023 Domaine d’Ardhuy Ladoix 1er Cru Le Rognet, followed by the lifted, no-sulfur 2020 Domaine de Montille Monthelie ‘Nature’, a wine of surprising clarity and purity.
Finally, we head into the heart of the Côte de Beaune for a pair of beautiful Premier Crus: the precise, earthy 2021 Michel Arcelain Beaune ‘Siserpe’ and the silky, age-worthy 2021 Domaine Camus-Bruchon Beaune 1er Cru ‘Clos du Roi’—a regal finish to a regal lineup.
