Description
Aline Dominguez, a Frenchwoman born to Portuguese immigrants, returned to her familial village, Uva, in 2017 after completing three master’s degrees in France (including Biology and Fermentation Science) to begin her new life as a vigneronne. Aline works exclusively with indigenous grape varieties farmed organically on bedrock dominated by schist and gneiss in an extreme continental climate. This wine originates from the Trás-os-Montes region of Portugal and is crafted using a blend of 70% red grapes, Bastardo Preta and Negreda, and 30% white grapes, including Malvasia, Bastardo Branco, Formosa, and Poilta. Crisp, mineral-forward and surprisingly elegant, with a core of juicy red fruits (wild cherries, pomegranate) and fresh Fuyu persimmon.
