The Ninot family have been coopers and wine-growers since the 14th century.Erell et Flavien Ninot are at the helm now. the qer cru vineyard Les Saumonts has a fair amount of stony topsoil in the classic Burgundian clay-limestone profile and boasts the best view of the estate. This is a late-ripening site, producing structured Pinot Noirs that can vary from rustic to elegant depending on the season and the grower. This 1er Cru displays powerful, pure and distinguished notes of intense black fruit aromas with generous tanins to follow. Maturation takes place in 100 % in 228 liters oak barrels between 15 and 18 months with 10 % in new barrels.
