Description
Sandlands is the personal project of Tegan Passalacqua: winemaker at Turley and one of California’s most respected vineyard whisperers. His wines celebrate the forgotten grapes and historic vines of the state, and bottles like this are exactly why people clamor for his allocations each year. Production is tiny, and the wines are pure, soulful, and refreshingly modest. This is California wine for people who care more about roots than flash. Light in color, huge in character. Sourced from own-rooted, dry-farmed vines planted in 1886(!!), this is old-school California filtered through a new-school lens. Juicy red fruit, dusty earth, and a whisper of spice—like if Beaujolais spent a summer in the Delta.
