Description
Ask yourself: why would we get a Grenache from Argentina, when there are such good ones at the same price from southern France, Catalonia, and California’s Central Coast? Taste it! You’ll likely freak out the same way we did, and begin pouring all that Chateau Rayas of yours down the drain! This is single-vineyard, 100% hand-harvested Grenache from high up (3,600 feet of elevation!) up in Argentina’s Uco Valley. The nose is vibrant and spicy, with notes of red cherry, thyme, black pepper and brown sugar. The whole is light, vibrant and alive, even though there’s great fruit density and structure here. Just a stunning wine for the dough.
