Some wineries are popular for reasons beyond our ken. But the opposite is true, too -- how does an all-organic, minimalist winemaker like Horse & Plow stay so under the radar, in the rush for natural Californian wine that doesn't set you back the price of a bottle of Burgundy? Aside from the fact that they barely make any wine, we don't know... but selfishly, we ain't complaining, either! Our friends at Horse & Plow farm organically and intervene as little as possible in the wine making process. The result is a gorgeously balanced Chard: subtle vanilla spice notes, with wet stone mineral zip, yellow apples and pineapple. One of the best Chards we know for the $!
