We’ve partnered with Kala Art Institute to showcase local artists whose work reflects the creativity and energy of the East Bay. Kala’s mission is to help artists sustain their creative practice through its Artist-in-Residence and Fellowship programs while engaging the community through exhibitions, public programs, and education.
“This exhibition brings together the visual languages I speak most fluently: color, nature, and geometry,” says Jennifer Mazzucco. Inspired by forms in the natural world, her watercolor works layer translucent color wheel compositions that overlap and evolve, creating new colors and quiet moments of stillness.
Jennifer Mazzucco is a New Jersey-born multimedia artist based in the East Bay, holding a BFA from Hartford Art School and an MST from Pace University. Her recent residency at RCCD in Emeryville featured more than 300 geometric watercolor paintings, and alongside her studio practice she teaches youth and adults through Kala Art Institute and schools throughout Marin and the East Bay.
We’ll be pouring small-production wines to match the art’s energy (bubbles, white, rosé, orange, and red), each chosen to echo the vibrancy and personality of the pieces on display.
A ticket gets you a flight of 3 wines. Wines also available by the glass & bottle.
