Some wines sneak up on us. Just when you think a) you know the landscape and/or b) that you might not need another Californian in your vinous life, along comes something new to fill you with excitement and wonder. In our case? That's Madson Wines.
A collaboration between Cole Thomas, Ken Swegles and Abbey Crystal (all of whom have been working in the Santa Cruz Mountains wine world for years) Madson Wines has quickly established itself as making some of the most expressive and elegant wines in all of California. Esther Mobley of the San Francisco chronicle recently called their Pinot the "vinous incarnation of early Northern California springtime..." and we agree!
