Our friend and favorite scientist-turned-winemaking Michigander Kristie Tacey is back behind the Solano bar on Friday, with her newly released Spring lineup on full display!
Kristie moved from her native Michigan to work on the Human Genome Project before turning to full-time grape whisperer... and we've been massive fans ever since! She's been carefully crafting expressive, single-variety wines from some of California's most iconic regions and vineyards, and singular, playful blends (often based on her favorite songs and musicians - did we mention she's also a radio DJ?) for the better part of a decade now, concentrating on sustainable farming, biodynamic practices, and minimal intervention in the cellar. And as of about this time last year? She's making her wine just down the road from us in Berkeley!
