Every week it seems, a new wine journalist catches on to something Vintage Berkeley has known for years: one of the greatest and most interesting winemakers in California is based right here in Oakland: Pietro Buttitta and his Prima Materia project.
This Saturday, just in time for the holidays, we catch up with our old friend (and ex-VB colleague!) while he pours us his newest releases (including some of the wines that got named "Editor's Choice" by the Wine Enthusiast... who we didn't know knew how to get to Oakland!).
