The oldest wine region in the Americas? It's not in California, or Virginia, or even the United States; it's in Santa María de las Parras, equidistant from Durango to the west and Monterey to the east. That's Mexico, friends. Now, 400 years after Mexican winemaking was first commercially established, small family producers are pushing back against large-scale commercial production and instead turning their focus to regenerative farming, small yields, and varietally expressive winemaking.
Our friend (and fellow football obsessive) Nick Dazzi will pour through a lineup of vibrantly composed wines from across Mexico's wine regions. To amp things up? We'll have the Mexico vs. South Korea matching playing with sound on, with ceviche tostadas available a la carte.
