Give it up for the new kids on the block! Bobby Huff and Jaam Moynihan met working in the cellar at Kosta Browne and hatched the idea to launch a micro-winery all their own over parking lot beers. They named their project Joseph-Jibril, their respective middle names, since it had more of a ring to it than Bobby-Jaam. We were beyond stoked to bump into this new duo at Jolie-Laide earlier this year where they were making their wine at the time. We had a chance to taste with them and were blown away by their pure, lively, unadorned Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
.
The goal with Joseph-Jibril is to make clean, lively, delicious, and unique wines, with minimal intervention and a focus on organic farming. They work with exquisite Sonoma County fruit, focusing on single vineyard Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc, as well as a Beaujolais-inspired carbonic Pinot Noir, rosé and more!
.
We are so happy Jaam is able to make it down to Berkeley pre-harvest and pour a selection of some of our favorite, new-to-us California wines! Come hang out and spend your Saturday evening with us in our lovely backyard.
