Legendary Bay Area importer of Italian wine Oliver McCrum joins us for the long-awaiting relaunch of our wine education classes, with a focus on the rich diversity, history, culture, and winemaking of Southern Italy!

Oliver's joining us for a 3-course series, taking a deep dive with each class into particular subzones within the broader region. First up? Campania, a region influenced by the sea and land in equal measure, where the volcanic influence of the towering Mt. Vesuvio takes center stage in the region's singular wines. From the salty, sea and sun-kissed whites, to the chewy, almost feral elegance of the region's traditional reds, Campanian wine communicates with clarity a deep sense of place, history, and tradition.

We'll kick things off with Campania before diving into Puglia, Calabria, & Basilicata with our second class, and then finish off the course with an exploration of Sicily. Oliver will guide the group through a tasting of 6+ wines from the highlighted region in each class, telling both the history of the producers and of the regions themselves along the way. Registered students will receive 10% off of all featured wines for the duration of the course (5/14-6/11), cheese & charcuterie to snack on during class (can't learn on an empty stomach!), and printed, take-home materials (with maps, producer information, and even traditional recipes from each region).

Classes are $75/ea, or the full 3-part course for $150. Sign up before Monday, May 12th for special early bird pricing of $120 for the full course!
