This Tuesday at College Ave, we're thrilled to host fourth-generation Basque winemaker Joseba Lazkanos, the owner and winemaker behind Gaintza, one of the founding producers of the Getariako Txakolina appellation!

The aforementioned linguistic x-plosion is a wine zone on Spain's green and craggy Basque Coast, and is the place responsible for the low-alcohol, intensely zesty, slightly spritzy wonderment known as Txakoli (pron. CHAH-ko-lee): one of the most addictively refreshing categories in all of wine!
Joseba will be pouring three of his Gaintza Txakolis... both in glasses, and out of porron! (The hand-held, drama-enhancing glass decanter-meets-watering can that allows drinkers to share a bottle of wine without ever touching it to their lips! What's more? We'll also have porrons for sale!)
