Château de Montmirail owns more vineyards near the village of Gigondas than anyone else, giving them access to some of the best Grenache vines in the region. They select only their oldest vines for their own bottling of Gigondas, and it shows in the glass. Nowhere but in the Rhône Valley can a 14.5%+ ABV Grenache taste so elegant and complex. It’s brimming with ripe raspberries, traces of cracked white pepper, and is powerful yet balanced. A classic and pure example of how delicious warm-climate Grenache can be -- pair with all manner of protein!
