Description
Hailing from a painfully beautiful French alpine region where there are more storybook cows than people, this uniquely Jurassien style of mildly nutty, oxidative chardonnay is an important chapter in any oeno-explorers journey. This is not your office party chardonnay. As a third generation farmer-winemaker in the tiny AOC of l’Etoile (which takes its name from the fossilized ancient starfish found in the limestone rich soil), Nicole Deriaux makes wine true to the voice of the region. This wine shows its superpowers when paired with the emblematic dish of the region: chicken braised with white wine, topped with morel mushroom cream sauce.
