Winemaker Gina Giugni has been farming the 6.5 acre Chene Vineyard, located in the Edna Valley appellation on the Central Coast, since 2018 when she began implementing biodynamic methods. The motto of Lady of the Sunshine is “know your farmer” and Gina farms, sources, and makes wines that are honest-yet-playful reflections of serious vineyard sites. This vintage is a composite blend of the steepest hillside blocks of Chene Vineyard, a site is known for producing small, concentrated clusters of fruit. It's an elegant, silky take on Pinot Noir showing delicate layers of fresh raspberries, rose petals, wildflowers, and fine-grained tannin. Perfect for date night.
