Forget Pinot... it’s time to try Pineau! If you haven’t tried the little-forgotten-grape-that-could by now, it’s high time you got on the train! A new one from a favorite natural winemaker in the Loire (try their white!), and it’s as lovely a Pineau as we know: this is light, floral-mineral glory in a bottle. Spices and purple petals all against a ferrous-limestone mineral backdrop. Somehow highly serious stuff... and just a pure animal pleasure. (I.e., you can serve with a perfectly roasted bird by candlelight... or just slug it down with friends after a long day on the trail!)
