Riesling, Riesling, Riesling: sometimes it seems like it’s all the cool kids are talking about these days! But Riesling’s not the only grape happening along the Germany/Luxembourg border, and it’s certainly not the oldest-school -- that distinction belongs to Elbling -- or el BLING as we like to call it. With a history dating back to Roman times, this was the most cultivated varietal in the region until the 1900's. (Take that you nouveau arriviste, Riesling!) Light, bright, and limestone-sprung, this is a lively, high-acid, gluggable laser beam of a wine, and may be our favorite single new summer white in the store. (Luxembourg: who knew?) Wanna make your friends sing? Bring the BLING.
