Winemaker Françoise Ollier is joy personified. In Septemeber of 2019 she greeted us as we pulled up to her winery in the little-known region of Faugéres in the Laguedoc of Southern France -- her bright smile and jolly laugh were infectious. She and her brother Luc run the Domaine which was founded by their parents, both coming from families of growers dating back at least 4 generations. The oldest vines they work with were planted by their great-grandfather in 1910. The high elevations and schist soils set their wines apart from others in the Languedoc. Their organic, Provençal-style rose has amazing breadth and richness while maintaining a bright freshness. Pairs with food (try it with steamed mussels!) or a warm night on the porch.
