Liatiko is a grape you need to get to know, ready to sub in for Barbaresco and/or a red Burgundy at a moment's notice... but at half the price!) Lyrarakis's
The vines are own-rooted and almost 100 years old (!)... so they produce small, intense grapes and tiny yields. Gorgeously light red in hue, it's aromatic, with notes of roses, strawberries, black tea and wet earth that put one in mind of a fantastic Nebbiolo. A freak of a red wine for only $26.
