Just look at this humdinger, will ya? Wild Alsatian winemaker Christian Binner, who's been making legendary zero-zero wines in his Ammerschiwihr winery for more than 20 years, has done it again! His "Vins Pirouettes" is a collective project: saddened by the sight of organic and biodynamic grapes being sold for pennies to co-ops, Christian decided to encourage these growers to form a sort of Voltron of natural winegrowers. The aptly named "Ultra Violet" is a limpid and lovely co-ferment of red and white grapes, and it's as ultra-drinkable as it is ultra-on the color spectrum. Think electrified raspberries and hints of blood orange; then stop thinking, and commence drinking!
