Bergère and Minière F\u0026amp;R, respectively, are each carving out a name for themselves in Champagne. Both are the newest generation in a long line of grape growers and winemakers. Adrien is the next generation to a family that built their sizable estate as farmers in the heart of the Vallée du Petit Morin; After working under Anselme Selosse, Frederic Minière became the fourth generation at the helm of his family's estate outside of Reims, and the first to bottle wine under their own name. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe two work under drastically different circumstances. Adrien has his family's nearly 45 hectares at his disposal, and for the past decade, has painstakingly vinified all the parcels separately to better understand the diversity of his terroir and isolate the best parcels. He's experimented with different vessels for vinification, all to determine which allows each parcel to express itself with the most clarity. Frederic works exclusively from the oldest vines isolated from only 2 hectares, ages each wine entirely in oak barrels and releases vintage specific cuvees only after years of sur lie aging.
