Barrel Brothers 'Natural Born Kellers' Kellerbier (4-Pack)
I can count the number of domestic Kellerbiers on half of one hand, so saying that Barrel Brothers makes the best of them might not seem like much of an endorsement. To put it in the context of Pilsners, or even in the context of lagers in general, and still count this in the top tier of that crowded field? *That's* a significant stamp of approval. Fermented and conditioned cold like their lagered brethren, Kellerbiers are then unpasteurized and unfiltered, and because of the extended presence of brewer's yeast, the resulting beer is toasty, spicy, lightly bitter and with a soft mouthfeel. Barrel Brothers don't have much competition in the category, but if they did, they would crush it regardless.
