And while the country has been making wine for millennia, its modern wine scene is lost amongst the vast amounts of imports coming here from Europe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis Thursday, we’re welcoming \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eAdam Kablanian, founder of Alexandrea Winery\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e, for a tasting of five wines from one of Armenia’s exciting new producers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eAn Armenian-American entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for wine, Adam spent more than two decades dreaming of starting his own winery. He first experimented with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in California’s Los Altos Hills before turning his attention to his homeland. In 2017, he founded Alexandrea Winery with a mission to showcase Armenia’s remarkable high-altitude vineyards, volcanic soils, and untapped winemaking potential.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWhat’s particularly interesting about Alexandrea is its approach to blending old and new.
