Meet Thibaud, the certifiable genius of Anjou. He farms all his fruit himself (and organically to boot!). You’ll find this guy in the vineyards much more often than the cellar. He's sort of like the Loire's Cathy Corison in the way he cares for his vines, he's always tinkering with something in the pursuit of vinous perfection.
It seems to have paid off: these days you can find Thibaud’s Chenin Blanc's on wine lists at Michelin-starred restaurants around the world. We were lucky enough to snag a few bottles of said Chenin ourselves—the max we were allowed to buy! Ask us, if you want a bottle! But, better yet, we were able to procure the last few cases of his Rosé de Loire made with 100% Cab Franc.
This is a serious rosé that's begging to be a part of your summer al fresco dinner plans. I love to share this wine with (and show it off to!) my friends, and I'm thrilled we have just enough of it to share with you! There’s a reason places like Chez Panisse and Spruce poured this by the glass in years past. Serious, delicious and age-worthy, with lovely notes of strawberry, red cherry & pear, brisk acidity lending freshness and a slight wintergreen note rounding out the lengthy finish.
