What's this? A Corsican red that *gasp* keeps its funk in check, and *double gasp* is priced squarely in value territory (heck, I'd even call this one a steal!). A deliciously balanced release from Domaine Maestracci, the “Clos Reginu” comes from their youngest vines, yet the flavors are still complex and concentrated. It’s a study in the art of blending, as they’ve managed to coax out the structure and herbal tones of Tuscany and the fleshy dark fruit and earthiness of the South of France in one svelte package, all bramble berry and crushed mediterranean herbs. As versatile as it gets at the dinner table, this is our vote for your new house red.
