Many crops thrive in Mendocino County. The one that's thriving here is old vine Carignan(e). Last year’s version was rich and dark (some said it was just a regular red), but 2011 gives us a light, zesty salmon colored pink wine. A beautiful version that shows off the grapes generous, but chiseled physique. Rocks mixed with berries, citrus and smoked pomegranate. Duuuuude!
