Coming to my house? I'd really rather you bring this Sauvignon Blanc from Touraine... than a more $$$ wine from Sauvignon's much more famous zip code of Sancerre! Laurent Lebled makes some of our favorite values in French wine, period; they're still affordable, but suddenly (thanks, pandemic!) they're now hard to get! I.e., his "La Sauvignonne." It's made from 60-70 year-old, organically farmed vines, and in the cellar it's unfiltered, unfined (it's gorgeously hazy), and has zero sulfur added! It's exotic and floral, with lots of SB's classic citrus zing... but it's also hints of smoked stone fruit and a real savory character.
