Fresh, aromatic, textured - can it get any? As it turns out, yes: a father and son-run estate with a deep commitment to organics, uniquely balanced blends (in this case 85% Chardonnay and 15% Macabeo), and for prices that are downright silly given the undeniable quality of the wines they consistently produce. Chalk it up to the biodiversity of the property, the vine health it brings, and the inevitable clarity and concentration that said healthy vines provide; whatever Andrés and Rodolfo Valiente are doing, we hope they keep doing it, because they've crafted one of our new favorites in the shop - honeysuckle, bosc pear, white peace, and a squeeze of fresh citrus.
