Is this unassuming, sub $20 pet nat the best value bubble in the shop? Ask me over a platter of cured meats and cheese, preferably on a warm summer evening, and I'd be hard pressed to deny it. Tucked in the hills on the border between Emilia and Romagna, the humble, family-run Tre Monti is farming organically and biodynamically, with a respect for the terroir and regional varieties of Romagna. Albana, historically vinified as a sweet wine, is here perfectly dry, with citrus zest and green apple skin gliding across a mineral and saline packed palate. As much as I'd love to keep this hidden gem secret - this is meant to be shared, with a full table of food and good friends.
