This wine is a case study in subliminal messaging... I was drawn to it before I even tasted it. I always love Jason's wines, and his labels, but this one specifically called out to me. Then, when Jason casually mentioned that the label art colors were inspired by Lisa Frank, my inner child lit up! It explained everything--and the contents of the bottle are very exciting even if you weren't a young child in the 90s! Playful, fragrant, and juicy, this wine exudes cherries, orange peel, fig, and fennel on the palate, alongside savory aromas of meatiness and olive tapenade. A Paso Robles Sangiovese that conjures both the Russian River Valley and the Greve in Chianti.
