Some wines begin their seduction before you even pop the cork; I mean, with grape names like Codega do Larinho, Rabigato, Gouveio, Doña Branca, Viosinho, and Bical, do we even need to tell you more? Niepoort is one of northern Portugal's most visionary pioneers, and his "Twisted" Branco is his effort to put the Douro's *white* wines back on the map. While intended as an "entry-level" Portuguese table wine, it's got the aromas of serious white Burgundy and flavors of northern Iberia: white peach, wet white rocks, citrus peel and acacia flowers. Throw some fish on the grill, put Sara Correia's newest fado album on the record player, say those grape names slowly, and let the seduction begin!
